Before you re-list...
You have had this agent sign in front of your house for anywhere from 3 months to a year now. It is time to take stock in what has been going on. Before you extend or re-list with that agent, ask yourself these questions:
Do you wish your agent had done things differently?
- I know it can be frustrating to think that things would go one way and then have them go another. This is why I offer a written guarantee of service. We will set out the expectations in advance, in writing. And I’ll keep up my end of the bargain.
Was your house marketed effectively?
- As your agent, I put together a complete marketing package designed to get your house sold quickly and for the highest price. I have a complete plan to get us there.
How Many People Have Actually Seen Your Home?
- If people don’t see your house, they can’t buy it. I track the showings carefully and work to determine the best ways to increase the number of people viewing the home, thereby increasing the chances of a sale.
How Often Did You Hear From Your Agent?
- One of the biggest complaints in the industry is that agents don’t keep in touch. I know this is a concern for my sellers, so I have systems to ensure that they hear from me at least once each week until their house is sold.
Did Your Agent Keep All of Their Promises?
- The key to delivering great service is having systems in place to do it. Many agents make a habit of over-promising and under-delivering, not because they intend to lie to you, but because they get busy and forget. I have systems in place to make sure I never forget a promise I make.
Did Your Agent Look Out For Your Best Interests?
- As your agent, I make certain that your home is always available to show, even when I’m not around. I have systems in place to make certain that my schedule and personal life doesn’t interfere with your sale.
Did Your Last Agent Stage Your Home To Sell?
- Sometimes even the smallest of changes make a big difference in the salability of a home. The positioning of furniture, the placement of artwork, and the appearance of the decorations are the determining factors for many buyers. I can show you how to maximize your sale price with these factors.
What Do You Think Your Agent Could Have Done – But Didn’t?
- I want to know. I welcome my client’s thoughts and suggestions throughout the process. I want to make sure I know about and meet all of your expectations.
Was Your Agent A Good Negotiator?
- I make sure that I have the skills and the information I need to negotiate the best deal for you. I do this by maintaining good relationships within the real estate industry and by honing my skills regularly with every deal I handle.

How Was Your Home Described in the MLS System?
- Buyers look through the Multiple Listing Service trying to find ways to weed out the multitude of houses available.
